  1. Cye, I like it! Out of the ordinary comes the extraordinary! It has a whimsy that appeals to me!

  2. Hmm..Whimsy is a word I hadn't thought of but now that you mention it--I like it. Thanks.

By the way, in retrospect I regret not mentioning how I got from the original to the "whimsical." Seems to be the courteous thing to do among photographers. After doing basic color correction, I merged some gorgeous clouds and deep blue sky into the photo from my stock of cloud photo files. Used blur tool to disguise the merging line between sand and sky. Then I went to "filter" on the tool bar, chose distort and then twist. Just played aroung with the twist tool, adjusting settings until it seemed to be right. Sharpened. And that's it.

  3. Cye, I look at this and I see a child's book. It could be the cover or one of a series of illustrations ... maybe Susan can write the text?

  4. Hmmm...you may be on to something. I have a ball creating this kind of image and Susan has always dreamed of writing a children's book. Stay tuned.

  5. I think this is absolutely awesome...I think you should publish a "coffee table" book of your own photos....They give everyone who sees them a different point of view.
